A warm cocoa beverage equally popular on all meridians. It originates from the time of the ancient Maya and Inca civilizations, where it was known as xocolatl, which would literally mean “bitter water.” This beverage was prepared for various rituals and was known as a soul balm. Of the many modifications, we have singled out for you today, one of the recipes we came across.

Cocoa Beverage – Ingredients
– five and a half cups of water,
– 1 green chili pepper or chili powder,
– 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder i
– 2 vanilla sticks.

Preparation of cocoa beverage
Add one and a half cups of water to a saucepan and bring to a boil. Once the water boils, add fresh chili peppers, including the seeds or chili powder, and cook for 5 to 10 minutes. Process the chili and seeds. Return the water to a saucepan and add the remaining four glasses to it. Slowly heat the water to a boil, then add the cocoa powder and vanilla until everything is dissolved and combined. It will take you between five and ten minutes.
